Pet Surgery in Wisconsin Rapids
Life happens, and that means your dog might eat one of your nephew’s toy cars and is unable to pass it, or your sister’s cat might get grazed by a car. Whatever the circumstances, there is a time in your pet’s life when they may need surgery. At Woodland Veterinary Clinic, our skilled veterinarians are available to perform surgeries daily (if necessary), ensuring your pet will have immediate, quality care. Whether your pet is coming in for a routine spay or neuter or something more complex, we understand how stressful it can be for you. Rest assured, our surgical suite is well-equipped with advanced monitoring equipment and highly-trained veterinary technicians who will give your loved one the respect and compassion they deserve.
We are also proud to offer surgical procedures using our Luxar CO2 surgical laser, which our doctors have been using for almost 20 years. The CO2 laser reduces bleeding and swelling, along with post-operative pain and recovery time.
Our Pet Surgical Services
Our experienced veterinarians can perform a variety of pet surgeries procedures here at Woodland that utilize state-of-the-art technology and exceptional care from our technicians. Below are just some of the surgeries we offer at our animal hospital:
We recommend pre-anesthetic testing prior to putting your animal companion under anesthesia to ensure that their organs are functioning properly. For senior pets, this testing is required–we want your pet to be as safe as possible while they’re under our care.
All of our patients are kept on IV fluids during their surgery, and are closely monitored by one of our technicians. We keep a close eye on their EKG, blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate while they are under anesthesia. Following surgery, patients receive laser treatment from our Companion therapy laser to help reduce pain and inflammation.
