Laser Therapy Can Soothe Your Pet’s Aches & Pains
Is your pet slow to get up in the morning? Do they stare up at you from the bottom of the steps, unsure if they can manage the climb? Does your cat have skin lesions that won’t heal? Thanks to our pet laser therapy service, there is very little we can’t treat here in Wisconsin Rapids. Injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions are all part of a pet’s life, but they don’t need to be causing them constant, unnecessary pain. Pet laser therapy can make a world of difference.
Our Companion® therapy laser produces concentrated, non-thermal photons through a cylindrical, handheld device. A trained technician will set the energy density level (or dose) according to what your pet requires, and gently move the handheld device over the affected areas. The photons penetrate through tissue without damaging it, and are absorbed into the mitochondria of the cells to increase energy production and speed up healing. Sessions can take anywhere from 3 to 8 minutes, and multiple sessions may be necessary.

What Will Laser Therapy Be Like for My Pet?
All pets are different—in appearance, health, and temperament—so their handling of the experience may also be different. However, the laser produces a gentle warming effect on contact, which many pets find soothing. All pets and their owners receive protective eyewear before the session begins, and pets’ doses are given using a timer, so the procedure is completely safe. We want your pet to be as comfortable as possible during their treatments, and we’ll do everything we can to ensure that that’s always the case
